William R. Brannan's Obituary
William Robert Brannan, 52, died May 25, 2006, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Aug. 6, 1953, in Meade, the son of Joseph Franklin and Fern Adele Layman Brannan. He graduated from Meade High School in 1971. A resident of Arlington since 1973, he was a farmer.
He belonged to Grace Episcopal Church, the Arlington Township Trustee, and Cemetery Sexton, and was a volunteer for the Reno County Fire District No. 4.
On April 27, 1996, he married Peggy Clarkson in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Jason, and Angie Staires, Arlington; a stepson, Bruce Michael Stoecklein, Newton; two brothers, Doug and Jeanine, Arlington, and Mike and Joyce, Katy, Texas; and three granddaughters, Kaitlyn Stoecklein, Jonna Stoecklein, and Harlea Stoecklein.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Georgia Decker presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to the Hutchinson Kansas Area Cancer Support Services, in care of the funeral home.
