Obituary

William E. "Bill" Stoughton, 81, died Nov. 12, 2014, in Hutchinson. He was born Dec. 29, 1932, in Hutchinson, to Edna (Stewart) and Sam L. Stoughton.

He was the owner of Pondview Farm and former owner of Stoughton's Service in Hutchinson. After an accident on the farm in 1975, he and Alice traveled and wintered in Texas. In 1993, they returned to Hutchinson to live again at the farm.

He was a member of the American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68.

On June 8, 1956, he married Alice Estabrooks. She survives. Other survivors include: daughter, Julie Kimmel (Tedd) of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Wesley, Katie and Anna; sister, Nina Garber (William). He was preceded in death by his parents; son, J Michael; brothers, Sam Jr. and Charles; and a grandson, Will Kimmel.

At Bill's request cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorial contributions may be made to Dillon Nature Center in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
