William J. "Bill" Myers, 66, died Jan. 8, 2008, at Hutchinson Hospital.

He was born Dec. 18, 1941, in Salina, the son of Charles "Charlie" Myers and Estel Geske Hibler. He attended Hutchinson High School, graduating in 1960.

He was a Master Sgt. In the United States Air Force, with 22 years of service, retiring in 1984, also serving in the Vietnam War.

On Aug. 12, 1983, he married Nancy Ann Pizer at Las Vegas. She survives.

Other survivors include: five sons, Christopher J. Myers, Hutchinson, Michael Brown, Kerrville, Texas, Randy Brown, South Hutchinson, Brett Short, Hutchinson, and Victor Browder, Albuquerque, N.M.; three daughters: Donna Myers, Hutchinson, Colleen Salamone, Parsons and Michelle Vezina, Hutchinson; a stepson, Bob Misbach, Lost Springs, Texas; brother, James Myers, Salina; two sisters, Betty Weigert, Salina, and Sharon Kelley, Wichita; 20 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; a stepfather, Ray Hibler; and a brother, Dick Myers.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 518 E. 43rd, Hutchinson, with Brother Richard Knapp presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Military graveside rites by McConnell Air Force Honor Guard.
