Wilma A. Carlile, 83, passed away January 16, 2015, at her home. She was born February 26, 1931, in Delta, Colo., to Cyrus and Anna (Ice) Suiter. On April 17, 1948, she married Archie Carlile in Marion, Yuba County, Calif. He passed away in 2009. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and artist who always enjoyed putting her grandchildren's needs first, taking care of sick loved ones, or growing anything in her garden.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Ann Carlile, and sisters, Mary Bruch and Elinora Campbell.

Wilma is survived by: sons, Allen "George" Carlile of Wichita, and Cy Carlile and wife, Janet, of Hutchinson; daughters, Carolyn Rodriguez and husband Alonso of Wichita, Dianna Boothe and husband, Don, of Garfield, Ark., and Sandra Bennett and husband Robert of Broken Arrow, Okla.; brothers, Carl Suiter of Webster, Fla., Ted Suiter and wife, Lois of Clinton, Conn., Burt Suiter and wife, Betty, of Wichita, and Verley Stonehawker and wife, Pauline, of South Carolina; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandson.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Luke Helmuth presiding. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery, Cheney. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 2 to 4 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Cancer Council of Reno County, or Gentiva Hospice, both in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
