Wilma P. Chase's Obituary
Wilma Pearl Chase, 99, died March 19, 2008, at Prairie Sunset Home, Pretty Prairie.
She was born Jan. 1, 1909, in Burrton, the daughter of William E. and Mable Ida Rogers Baughman. She was a graduate of Burrton High School. A resident of Hutchinson since 1941, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to First Baptist Church, Hutchinson.
On May 13, 1928, she married Walter T. Chase in Newton. He died Jan. 19, 1987.
Survivors include: two sons, Walter T. "Tom" II and wife, Roxie, Wichita, and Amos E., Pretty Prairie; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Scheuermann; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; two brothers, Jess and Lloyd Baughman; and a sister, Margaret Proper.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Pastor Luke Helmuth presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to Home Healthcare Connection Hospice in care of the mortuary.
