Obituary

Wilma Jean Clemments, 90, died June 19, 2015, at Dillon Living Center, Hutchinson. She was born February 21, 1925, in Pratt, to Omer O. and Mary Birdie (Davis) Tope. She graduated from Turon High School in 1943, and in 1945, attended Kansas State Teacher College, Emporia. She was a secretary for Cairo Co-Op, FarMarCo, and Cessna/Boeing. She loved gardening, fishing and her job.

On January 10, 1966, she married W.W. "Bill" Clemments, Jr. in Hutchinson. He died May 31, 2002.

Survivors include: daughter, Connie Fleming and husband Joe of Derby; son, Kenneth Claphan of Zenda; companion, Leroy Baker of Hutchinson; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and three brothers.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, with the Reverend Jim Rhaesa presiding. Burial will follow in Turon Cemetery, Turon. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Council of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 North Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
