Wilma A. Kahler (Aupperle), 88, of Hutchinson, died April 26, 2016, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Nov. 8, 1927, in Hutchinson, to Will and Florence (Dyson) Turner.
Wilma was a business office representative for Southwestern Bell.
She owned and operated Aupperle Drapery for many years before her retirement. Wilma served as a deacon and elder at Northminster Presbyterian Church and traveled with her daughter in healing and prayer ministry.
On Feb. 2, 1946, she married Kay C. Aupperle. He died June 5, 1991. On April 25, 2004, she married Otto Kahler. He survives. Other survivors include: daughter, Sharree Aupperle, Wichita; stepsons, Steven Kahler (Charisse), Wichita, Jeff Kahler (Marsha), Springfield, Mo., Paul Kahler (Diane), Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a twin sister, Wanda Brown, Sacramento, Calif. She was preceded in death by: her son, Kay C. Aupperle Jr.; stepson, Roger Kahler; sister, Dorothy Rainwater; and a brother, Leroy Turner.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016, at New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 700 E. 25th Hutchinson, with Reverend Dr. Dixie Anders presiding. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Covenant Presbyterian Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
