Wilma G. Mitchell, 86, died Feb. 9, 2006, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
She was born April 3, 1919, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Charles Clinton and Grace Wil-mouth Tru-sler. She graduated in 1937 from Hutchinson High School. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, she worked at Cessna, was a payroll clerk for Kansas Power and Light and was secretary and treasurer for Mitchell Oil Co.
She belonged to First Baptist Church, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Women of the Moose Hutchinson Chapter No. 1371 and the Silver Leaf Chapter No. 464 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a volunteer for the Hutchinson Hospital Auxiliary for 22 years, was the general secretary for the church Sunday school for 30 years and president of the Hutchinson Women's Bowling Association.
On April 28, 1938, she married E. Olen Mitchell in St. Charles, Mo. He survives.
Other survivors include: two nephews, Mark J. Rank, Hutchinson, and Karl Dencker, Lake of the Hills, Ill.; and many great-great-nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Trusler; and three sisters, Delphia Kent, Verile Rank and Zephia Dencker.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Jim Autrey presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
