Yvonne G. Johnson's Obituary
Yvonne G. Johnson, 81, died Sept. 27, 2008 at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
She was born Oct. 14, 1926, in Herstal, Belgium, the daughter of Gean and Elizabeth Vandenberoeck.
She moved to the United States in 1946, having lived in California for 35 years before moving to Hutchinson in 1988. She had been a sales clerk at JC Penney. She belonged to the American Legion Women's Auxiliary Unit No. 68.
In 1946 she married Charles E. Johnson in Liege, Belgium. He died in 1988.
Survivors include: a brother, Noel Vandenberoeck, Belgium; a sister, Louise Marechel, Belgium; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Eikleberry and Angeline Stoughton, both of Hutchinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son Craig.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008 at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson with Pastor Kim Biery presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Cremation will follow the service.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice House, in care of the mortuary.
