Zola A. Leikam, 92, died Monday, March 17, 2014, at Dillon Living Center. She was born Nov. 28, 1921, at Horton, the daughter of Dick and Nellie Kerby Henderson.

She was a 1941 graduate of Mindenmines High School, Mindenmines, Mo. a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church, had been a sales clerk at Ward's, Hart's, Ben Franklin's and Goodwill retiring in 1995 with 16 years of service. Zola had also been a co-owner of John's Appliance. On July 2, 1947, she married John Leikam at Santa Rosa, New Mexico. He died May 9, 1979. She is survived by a son-in-law, Myron Hunt of Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Linda Kay Hunt.

Parish rosary will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2014, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Hutchinson, with Father Nicholas Voelker officiating. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Dillon Living Center or to the church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
